Testimonials

man looking thoughtfully off into the distance

We just want to thank Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation for all they have done to bring our mother from using a wheelchair at admit to being able to move to independent senior living, using a cane, during the 5 months at your facility. The physical therapists were truly dedicated to her rehabilitation and saw all the little improvements that gave promise when we could not. Your nursing staff was excellent, caring and continued to work on things that interested and motivated mom. Your activities were excellent and continually inspired mom to stay active. And this was not an easy task given her disappointment and depression at not returning to her home and losing her ability to drive. Your administrative staff always had an open door and listened to our questions and concerns. So now mom lives in an independent living facility, is now using a wheeled walker and constantly speaks of how she loves the staff at Pleasant Valley and how they helped make this living plan possible. We have been put on notice by mom that she wants to go back to visit Pleasant Valley staff.

We Thank You All,

– John & Terry E.

My mother Rose E. has been in PVMCC for 2 ½ years. During this time she has gone through may adjustments in her life, plus endured major spinal surgery. She has adjusted very well with the help of the caring, competent and loving staff who take care of her. She calls PVMCC home and always says they take good care of her. She is happy and we are happy.

When my brother and I realized, we needed help with Mom, my Daughter-in-law told me she had heard good things about PVM.

We did a visit & were very impressed. Mom has been a resident for over a year now and the staff is fantastic. We are very pleased.

Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center cares for my husband as though he was a member of their family.

My mother, Evelyn Thomas has been at Pleasant Valley Manor since December 31, 2015. Putting her in a nursing home was something I had hoped we could avoid. She has Alzheimer’s and keeping her at home was really not an option for us.  The care she has received at Pleasant Valley has been wonderful. I am in the facility at different times and different days, I always see staff giving a hug or encouragement to residents. My mother is more active and engaged in what is going on at Pleasant Valley than she was when she was at home. She has many times told me she is happy there and I also believe she is happy. I do recommend Pleasant Valley if a loved one is no longer able to be at home.

PVMCC is my new home. It is hard to give in to MS and admit that I can no longer care for myself. But I have found a new home here. They listen to my concerns and make me feel like family. I enjoy the activities and employees that help keep my mind alert and working! Care for the whole person!

My mother LaVeta B. has been a member of the Pleasant Valley Manor Care family for 2 ½ years. I feel like it is a family because people that work here care about their jobs and care about the people that live here. Everyone seems to work well together to see that patients & families are happy with their care. It’s always clean, food is well prepared and nurses and activities do their jobs well. My family couldn’t be more appreciative.

Irene H. says that she is treated good here at Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center.

I think that Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center is a very good place for Irene H. to live. Everyone is so friendly and seems to care about her. Everyone makes you feel so welcome here. I enjoy coming up and being a part of what is going on.

The hardest decision a family must make for an aging parent is placing them in a nursing home. My mother at 86 was placed in PVM early March 2016. The staff is kind and caring to her health and happiness. One staff member, Tracy, takes a huge interest in mom’s health. The staff as a whole are kind, and get to know the residents and family. If you are looking for a place for your aging parent(s), PVM is a great place. My mother is very happy and making new friends.

I want to thank all the staff at Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center for the excellent care that my mother receives at your facility. Everyone is so attentive and supportive. Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center has more of a “homey” feel and not like an institution. Everyone calls my Mom by her name….. she is a person, not just a resident. I really appreciate that.

My family feels welcome anytime we come to visit my Mom. The staff of Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center has made this process of moving a loved one into a long-term care facility much easier for all of us.

Sincerely,

– Susie G.

Pleasant Valley Manor provides a caring and compassionate living environment for their residents.  My Mother has daily activities with various events and church services on Sunday as well.

The facility is always clean and my Mother is always clean and well kept.

The staff and owners are very knowledgeable and kind and put their residents first.

I highly recommend a loved one for a comfortable and compassionate stay!

I just wanted to take a second to stop and thank all the staff at PVMCC for all the fantastic time, attention, and care they have shared with my mother.

Time and Time again I find that the staff have gone way above and beyond to care for my mother.  I chose to bring my mother here on the recommendation of several friends that are health care professionals.  They were absolutely right.  Not only are all her basics well covered, I frequently find that the staff have done little extra things to make her life more enjoyable and dignified.  Things like keeping her hair and nails pretty.  I have never had a concern about cleanliness of my mother or the facility.  Nor has she ever complained about treatment by any staff member. (unlike previous care centers)

In summary, The staff have taken good enough care of my mother that I have felt very confident that she is being well cared for.

Please see that this is seen especially by Natalie in admissions.  The rest of the specific people are to numerous to mention and I would risk missing someone!

THANK YOU ALL AT PVMCC!!!

– Craig P.
